The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) is an executive agency of the Home Office and is set up to help organisations make safer recruitment decisions. By providing wider access to criminal record information, the CRB helps employers in the public, private and voluntary sectors identify candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work, especially that involving contact with children or other vulnerable members of society.
To request a CRB Disclosure Application Form from the BCU, please email: joanne.simpson@bcu.org.uk including your name, BCU number and address. Alternatively please phone her on 0845 370 9529.
The CRB helps protect the public through its Disclosure service. For further information on this service why not visit the Disclosure Website or telephone the CRB Information Line on 0870 90 90 811.
