English Coaching Management Committee

The remit of ECMC is to provide an effective and unified Coaching Service in England. It reports to the English Council and UK Coaching Management Committee. It has the dual function of delivering coaching in England and helping to develop UK coaching policy.







Aim of ECMC:



To support Canoe England in the achievement of the Coaching Key Performance Indicators, through development, planning, and delivery



To form part of the English Coaching Network with a two-way communication mechanism between the English Coaching Department and the wider membership, including an Annual Consultative Meeting, (see appendix 1)



To put in place strategies and action plans to deliver UK Coaching Policy across England



To represent England at UK Coaching Management Committee, contributing to the development of UK Coaching Policy



To monitor the English regional coaching workforce; identifying where gaps exist that effect paddler pathways and targeting coach education opportunities appropriately







ECMC Composition:



The English Coaching Management Committee shall comprise 13 voting representatives as follows to ensure integrated representation across disciplines and competition:



Chairman: Steve Scorer



Vice-Chair: Andrew Maxted



Six Regional Coaching Organisers



Outdoor Centre representative – Andy Hall



Four competition representatives







The Chair and Vice chair are elected at the English Coaching ACM, whilst the other representatives are elected into the role of either RCO or Competition Coaching Committee Representative.
