A great deal for Accredited Clubs - Project 2010
A new project has been launched by Canoe England to provide Clubmark accredited clubs with the opportunity to purchase equipment at a reduced cost.
The Canoe England Paddlesport Participation Programme has been successful in applying to Sport England as part of the Capital Grants programme for funding to support the purchase of equipment under the Canoe England Accredited Club Equipment Project 2010. This equipment will support paddlers in the later stages of Paddlesport development and as they move on towards the Train to Train phase of Long Term Paddler Development.
As part of the project, clubs will be able to purchase equipment in partnership with Canoe England resulting in the cost to the club being approximately 50% of the retail price. All clubs who are currently accredited with Clubmark/Top Club/Top Club Gold status are eligible to apply.
A requirement within the project will be to provide the equipment to support local events through Canoe England's Participation Programme and also make them available to local clubs to hire from time to time. In addition your club will be required to provide data on club membership, volunteers and coaches annually for a minimum of five years. Priority will be given to clubs that have not received funding in previous bids.
Applications for Project 2010 have now closed. Successful clubs have been notified with further information.
