Now open for applications for 2010
Closing Deadline 30 October 2009
Competing at the highest level in any sport is an expensive business. Travel, equipment, training, coaching and physiotherapy – the costs soon add up. Hampshire County Council’s Culture Communities and Rural Affairs and Children Services Departments, in partnership with Southampton City Council and Portsmouth City Council have developed the Hampshire Talented Athlete Scheme - an athlete-centred support programme designed to give Hampshire’s most gifted athletes access to as much support as possible to help them reach their full potential.
HTAS is the first programme of its kind in the country. It works at three award levels, Gold, Silver and Bronze, each providing varying levels of support. Award levels are determined by specific performance standards. An overview is available HERE
Applications to the Hampshire Talented Athlete Scheme are open on an annual basis. Successful applicants then become a member of the scheme for 12 months, January to December.
The scheme is now open for applications, you can download an application form and guidelines HERE. The deadline for applications is 30 October 2009
