PaddleAbility

Paddle-Ability is the term used in England to refer to all disabled Paddlesport activity.  Paddlesport is very diverse with many different types of activity and craft available; there really is something for everyone.  Through these pages you can find information about the following:

There are many clubs all over the country where Paddle-Ability takes place in many different ways from individuals taking part in normal club activity to clubs running specialist programmes of activity for groups of disabled individuals.

Some Paddle-Ability athletes like the challenge of
competition, competing alongside able-bodied paddlers in Slalom and Marathon whilst Paddle-Ability Races are available at National Sprint Regattas.

Paracanoe will feature in the Paralympic games from Rio 2016 in 200m Sprint Events, there are also International Canoe Federation Paracanoe World and European Championships held annually.

Sprint Kayak is also a Special Olympics Sport featuring at Special Olympics World Games over distances of 200m and 500m in one and two person kayaks.
